The Candlelight Spiral Walk, co-hosted by The Orcas Montessori School, The Salmonberry School, and The School of the Salish Sea will be held Sunday December 13, at 3pm at Oddfellow’s Hall.

Come walk the evergreen spiral, light a candle and transform the darkened room into a tableau of light. This is an opportunity for children and adults of all ages to experience a quiet reverence for the beginning of the holiday season.

A suggested donation of $5.00 per family or a gift of non-perishable food for the Orcas Island Food Bank would be warmly appreciated.

Due to water damage from a water heater, Orcas Montessori School was forced to relocate the school during the repairs.  We are in our final week at “Montessori South” and plan to resume our full day program Monday December 7th.   The repairs, new floor and fresh paint look fantastic!  Feel free to schedule a visit after we return.

The Orcas Montessori School will host a family dance as part of a joint fundraiser for all the island preschools. The dance happens on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Oddfellows Hall. Details to follow.
