You are welcome to call anytime. Teresa, the director, is generally in from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 8am to 12 noon on Friday. As our message states, if we do not answer the phone during these hours it is because we are busy with the children.
We also welcome communication by email.
Because we try to keep the classroom as child-focused as possible and minimize interruptions by adults, we ask that you do not drop by without an appointment.

Hello, this message is for Teresa,
My name is Katie Korus and I am an environmental educator who would like to bring the students of Orcas Island into Moran State Park. The Friends of Moran have made possible through an OICF grant the opportunity to bring school children to the park for outdoor classes at no cost to your school. I have worked as a naturalist for the Moran Outdoor School here on Orcas for three seasons and have also taught outdoor education near Boulder, Colorado. If you would like your students to come to the park I would be glad to arrange a class about unique features of the park, or work with you and your current curriculum to find an activity that suits your needs.
If you are interested or have any questions please contact me at your convenience. If you would like to arrange a date and time for your students to come to the park please let me know how many students are in your class and your time frame.

Sorry I did not get your message until today- I have not logged into the websitre for quite awhile.
Why don’t you give me a call if you still available. Perhaps a visit to the school with some objects from the park that you could show to the children and talk about would suit our group better.
